Founded in February of 2015, Sling TV is an American video streaming service owned by Dish Network. It offers several cable network channels that can be streamed on smart TVs and apps.

Currently, Sling operates in Puerto Rico and the United States. As of January this year, Sling TV had a total of 2.4 million subscribers.

But as is the case with the majority of platforms, some bugs and issues do surface every once in a while.

That said, Sling TV subscribers say they are getting error 5-100 along with various other error codes whenever they try to watch a channel (1,2,3,4,5).

The problem is making the service unusable for those affected. Users said they already tried reinstalling the app but that does not help either. You can see in the image below what the error 5-100 looks like on Sling TV.

Thankfully, Sling Support commented on the issue and said the developers are aware of the error codes users are getting right now. While a fix already seems underway, it is still unclear if and when the problem will be resolved.

We hope the developers find out the root cause of the error codes and fix it as soon as possible. If and when they do, we will be updating this space to reflect the same so make sure you stay tuned for more information.
