On Tuesday, February 15, actor Shahid Kapoor announced the release date of his upcoming film on Instagram. He shared a look from the movie ‘Jersey.’
He captioned it, “So so happy to announce that our beloved film #Jersey will be releasing worldwide in theatres on the 14th of April 2022. Jersey is a sports drama film featuring Shahid Kapoor. Alongside, it also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor in the film. This Telugu film remake is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film will be produced by several production houses including Geetha Arts, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments and Brat Films. Shahid Kapoor will play the part of Arjun Talwar while Mrunal will play the role of Arjun Talwar’s wife, Vidya Talwar. Meanwhile, Pankaj Kapoor will play the part of Arjun’s coach in the movie.
The film was already announced in 2019 and now, the release date has been announced. The film is all set to hit the Indian cinemas on April 14, 2022. Its production was delayed due to Covid-19 situation and further delay as upheld by the Omicron variant in 2021.
