Following the big cliffhanger to season 3 that saw Moordale shut down, season 4 of the Netflix blockbuster Sex Education appears to be going in a completely new direction.
Multiple cast members won’t be returning, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which also claimed that sources indicated Episode 3 will include “a mix of old and new faces” as Sex Education moves on from the “shuttered” Moordale High in favour of a new institution.
Sex Education season 4 Release Date
Early in 2023, Sex Education season 4 is most likely to be released. Netflix has picked up Sex Education for the fourth season, which is convenient because the actors and crew appear interested in more humorous sexual antics at Moordale High, or wherever they’ll be learning next, given that the school is closing after the events of the third series.
Gillian Anderson, the prominent star of the show, seems willing to clear her calendar for a second season but emphasised that the decision ultimately rests with the Netflix management, who, we are delighted to report, came to their senses.

Casting call for two new trans characters in Season 4 of ‘Sex Education,’ according to series creator Krishna Istha on Twitter. Trans actors, act now! The new characters include Kent, a trans male who is characterised as “goofy, forgetful, and a fantastic listener,” and Abbi, a young trans woman who “has a ’90s Winona Ryder feel” and is “the queen bee of her college.”
Dan Levy, a star of “Schitt’s Creek,” has joined Netflix’s fourth season of “Sex Education.” Throughout the season, he will play a recurrent guest star role. Six new series regulars will join him, including Alexandra James, Felix Mufti, Thaddea Graham, Marie Reuther, Anthony Lexa, and Imani Yahshua. Variety says that the new season is presently being filmed. Levy will play Thomas Molloy, a well-known novelist who serves as Maeve (Emma MackeyIvy )’s League undergraduate tutor for her U.S. course. The other new cast members’ characters’ specifics are being kept a secret.
About the last season of Sex Education
The Moordale kids return to school following their summer break at the beginning of the third season of the web series. Due to the rumours of a Chlamydia outbreak on campus, the school’s reputation was in ruins. Ms Hope Haddon, the new headteacher, is introduced to the kids, and everyone is impressed by her dance talents.
The pupils initially think she’s cool, but they are later shown to be mistaken. Hope sets forth stringent guidelines, shows no sympathy for the genderqueer students, and preaches abstinence. Her main objective is to reestablish the school’s reputation as a place of discipline, not the well-being of the pupils.
The rupture between Otis and Maeve last semester makes the tension between them clear. He is spotted hanging out with Ruby, the most well-liked student. Otis wants to continue the relationship, but Ruby makes it clear that she doesn’t want to be seen with him in public. Adam is coming out to others around him as he continues to explore his queer side. In terms of their relationship, Adam and Eric are also doing well.
The aftermath of her relationship with Otis and the fact that her mother lost custody of Elsie as a result of her ongoing drug use are on Maeve’s mind. She concentrates on enrolling in the “Gifted and Talented” programme in the United States of America while also becoming close to her neighbour Isaac.
Jean Milburn, Otis’ mother, informs Jakob that she is expecting a child, and the two of them resolve to co-parent the child. The first few days after Jakob and Ola move in with Jean and Otis turn out to be tumultuous. Jakob continues to struggle with his feelings for Jean, so the two decide to seek couples counselling.
