Arth’s favourite mythological world will be back soon! As of August 22, ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ reportedly started filming its second season. The cast for the upcoming season was previously announced as Lee Joon Gi, Shin Se Kyung, Jang Dong Gun, and Kim Ok Vin. The producers for tvN disclosed on August 9 that the four also participated in a recent script reading.
As Song Joong Ki, who portrayed the twins Eun Seom and Saya, and Kim Ji Won, who played Tanya, will not be returning, this will be seen as the beginning of a new chapter in the Arth saga. On the other side, Jang Dong Gun as Tagon and Kim Ok Vin as Tae Al Ha will return to their respective roles. The initial “Arthdal Chronicles 2” filming reportedly took place somewhere in Gyeonggi-do. The plans were originally supposed to start last week, but the record-breaking rainfall in and around Seoul moved things up a week.
It was said that additional cast members joined the first filming in a joyful environment in addition to the principal actors, Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung. The story is believed to follow the tale of heroes who will go on to become legendary figures in the mythological realm as it picks up immediately after the conclusion of season one of “Arthdal Chronicles.”
Despite the fact that season 1 premiered in 2019 and season 2 was scheduled to begin filming by 2020, the COVID-19 epidemic significantly delayed the schedule. The new stories that will be revealed in the upcoming chapter have been eagerly anticipated by fans.
