On November 15 this year, Samsung release One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series. As expected, Samsung is gradually rolling out the update, so it might take a while before you are able to update to the latest version.

Of course, the latest from Samsung takes inspiration from Google Material You and adjusts color palettes automatically based on the wallpaper. The company also added new features that focus on privacy and customization.

With that being said, since One UI 4 was recently released, users are bound to experience some bugs and issues. Now, it looks like a lot of users who updated their devices to Android 12 based One UI 4 are facing an issue where the notifications font is way too small.

This is really frustrating for many since they are uncomfortable reading the notification content. Users say they don’t like the change at all and want the notification text to revert to how it was in One UI 3.5.

One UI 4 users say they tried fiddling around with the size of the font but it seems to have no effect on the notifications font size. You can see for yourself how it looks like in the image below.

Fortunately, a Reddit user has shared a workaround that fixes the notifications font on One UI 4. In order to fix the font size, all you need to do is head over to the settings app and toggle the screen resolution to highest and switch back to whatever you want to.

Moreover, if you want to increase the size of notifications that appear on the lock screen, just adjust the text size in the ‘Font size and style’ settings.

With Samsung yet to say anything on the matter, we do not know if this is an intended change or a bug. Nonetheless, we will keep an eye out on the matter and let you know if and when Samsung has something to say on the issue.

In the meantime, do let us know if the workaround fixed the issue for you in the comment section below.
