Lately, our smartphones are getting bigger and bigger with each generation. Granted, bezels are also shrinking but our screens are now too big to be comfortably used in one hand.
We have seen many gesture controls to help us navigate using one hand. Some shrink down the UI to a portion of the screen to facilitate single thumb operations and more.
Samsung’s solution has been the ability to swipe down anywhere on the home screen to pull down the notification shade. That has worked well, especially considering Samsung has rather big display-phones.
Sadly, users have been having issues using this very important gesture in the operation of their Samsung Galaxy S9, Note 10 and Note 9 devices. This has been occasioned after the update to Android 10.
A quick scroll through the forums and you are bound to come across dozens of users who are unable to use the “Swipe down for Notifications” feature.
Many of these affected users have gone through the basic troubleshooting process after the update wi little success. Simple reboots, Clearing cache, have yielded no fruits in bringing back this useful feature.
Luckily, there might be a workaround. According to some users, the trick to fixing this lies within the GoodLock app.
A good number of users have confirmed having this issue fixed using this simple fix. it is worth trying out if you are affected as you await an official fix from Samsung.
