As we are approaching the grand Galaxy Unpacked event there are new rumours coming out every day. We are here with yet another rumour but this is not a great one, as per the latest rumours the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are expected to be released with a price hike.

According to a new report, based on pricing information for Australia, this year’s Samsung flagships will be more expensive than last year’s. In Australia, the price hike is AUD 100 for every model and every variation of each model. Now, AUD 100 currently translates into about $70 US, or €65.

Samsung has also been rumoured to double the storage amount for its entry-level models this year, from 128GB to 256 GB. Whether this change will be regional or global is still not known. Based on the rumours we can say that some places will get a 256GB base model, and that goes up in price by $100 or €100 compared to last year’s entry-level model. Then this might not even technically be a price hike, since you always paid more for more storage.

In this case, the situation will be like you will be forced to buy 256GB even if you are ok with 128GB. This information about the hikes is still not officially confirmed by the company, these are from unconfirmed sources and are mere speculations. Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S23 series which will be out in 2 weeks.
