There’s no mention of the ability to play HD content on streaming platforms being removed in the release notes and this has left many users disappointed since the device does have Widevine L1 support.
Above all, this does not seem to be a one-off issue. Multiple complaints are now surfacing on Samsung’s community forums. We’ve listed some of the reports below for you to check out.

Judging by the screenshots, it appears that there could be more than one issue leading to the problem. Furthermore, Samsung is yet to acknowledge the issue officially. A few months ago, the company updated several devices with Widevine L1 support.
