One of the witnesses in the drug case involving celebrity Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has claimed collaboration between the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) zonal officer Sameer Wankhede and KP Gosavi, the purported private investigator who tipped off NCB and whose selfie with Aryan Khan went viral. Prabhakar Sail, KP Gosavi’s driver, is a witness. Sameer Wankhede, according to the driver, requested Rs 8 crore from Shah Rukh Khan in order for his son to be released from the drugs case. Mr. Wankhede has categorically denied any misconduct and stated that he will respond “properly.”

According to NDTV, Prabhakar Sail, KP Gosavi’s personal bodyguard, said in an affidavit that he was present in a car and heard KP Gosavi speak to one Sam D’Souza about an 18 crore deal, of which 8 crore was to be paid to Sameer Wankhede. He further stated that he had personally collected the money from KP Gosavi, which he had to deliver over to Sam D’Souza.

“The individual said Mr Gosavi has gone missing and he fears for his life and liberty, which is why he filed the affidavit,” according to the man, who is the first of nine witnesses mentioned by the agency in a news release on October 6. KP Gosavi has been handed a lookout notice, according to NDTV.

It went on to say that Prabhakar Sail said in his statement that he was asked to identify some of the persons boarding the cruise liner on October 2. He also stated that he received a series of images via WhatsApp to aid in the identification process.

After Aryan Khan and the others were escorted to the NCB office, Prabhakar Sail was requested to sign some blank papers by Gosavi and Sameer Wankhede, according to Prabhakar Sail.

Later, he claimed to have arrived at Lower Parel, where he discussed a money transfer. “Until we arrived in Lower Parel, KP Gosavi was on the phone with Sam and suggested that you drop a bomb of 25 crores and let’s settle at 18 final because we have to give 8 crores to Sameer Wankhede,” according to the affidavit obtained by NDTV.
