Vikram Brar, a close aide of mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, was identified as the individual who texted the murder threat to Bollywood megastar Salman Khan and his father, film writer Salim Khan, on Thursday night, according to police sources.
Soon after the news, Times Now made a bombshell revelation, stating that the Bollywood celebrity was targeted for assassination and that a sniper was stationed outside his home.
According to the allegation, Lawrence Bishnoi, a contender in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, ordered a sharpshooter to kill Salman Khan with a small-bore weapon concealed in a modified hockey casing. The gangster and his guys were allegedly watching the actor’s movements, and the shooter was aware that the actor cycles around the neighborhood without the presence of a bodyguard, according to the allegation.
The plot to assassinate Salman was allegedly put in motion while he was about to leave his home for an event. The gunman, who was supposedly planted outside the actor’s home, backed out at the last minute, fearing being discovered, as a result of the increased police presence in the neighborhood. Brar, who is now claimed to be aboard, is accused of being involved in more than two dozen criminal cases across numerous states.
The Mumbai Police had previously stated that they suspected the Bishnoi gang of being involved and had increased security at the Khans’ apartment, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra West, as a precaution.
According to reports, the Mumbai Police accused the possible assailants of conducting a covert reconnaissance of the Khans’ movements in the vicinity and their apartment.
Bishnoi had previously threatened to kill Salman Khan when the actor was implicated in a blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan in 1998.
Around 7.30 a.m. on Sunday, Salim Khan was handed an unsigned, handwritten threat letter by an unknown individual on a bench where he typically rests after jogging at the Bandra Bandstand promenade.
The threat letter ended with a few initials, including ‘L.B.,’ which the cops assumed stood for ‘Lawrence Bishnoi.’.
However, now Salman Khan is reported to be safe and healthy.
