The Met Gala, formally known as fashion’s grandest event and informally known as an incredible bonanza of big fits. This year’s event follows a theme: while the September event asked celebrities to dress in the spirit of “American Independence,” this year’s event concludes with the theme of “Gilded Glamour. It’s unclear what this means for the looks, but it’s reasonable to expect some seriously next-level attire (along with the best hair and grooming) from menswear’s biggest names. As they arrive, we’ll update this page with our top looks from the night.
Last year’s Met Gala tickets started at $35,000, while some people were able to attend for free. The designers who outfit celebrities or other companies that invite them may accompany them. This year’s focus on diversity in fashion may result in more unsung designer stars being celebrated and included than normal.
Ryan Reynolds in Ralph Lauren
Reynolds is a Canadian-born actor best known for his roles in the 2002 film “Van Wilder” and the Marvel movie franchise “Deadpool.” Ryan was also a successful young actor who appeared in soap operas.
After years of pandemic crisis, the Met Gala returned to the first Monday in May with a celebration of American design and a theme of gilded elegance, with Blake Lively smiling for the cameras in a big Versace gown and husband Ryan Reynolds in velvet.
Reynolds’ old favorite velvet suit really cleans up rather well. He seemed to hit the floor with his royal attire.
