Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake was officially announced at the PlayStation Showcase 2021 back in September. Rumors of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake’s existence were transmitted far before its confirmation, and time will tell if its rumored gameplay details will also prove correct.

Unfortunately, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake’s teaser announcement only revealed a CGI shot of Darth Revan. Few details about Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake’s gameplay have been shared, such as the report that it would be “built from the ground up.” Otherwise, it seems as if players must wait a while before new details or footage is shared. Recently, a rumor has been shared that reinforces this idea with the blueprint of future Star Wars releases.

The Bespin Bulletin has previously reported numerous tidbits about highly anticipated Star Wars games, such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s sequel and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The Bespin Bulletin talks about different sources whose compiled information points toward the release windows for such titles. The Bespin Bulletin’s reports are currently only rumors at this point and its sources are anonymous, so these rumors should be received with that in mind. However, the Bespin Bulletin suggests that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake could release in 2023.

Interestingly, the Bespin Bulletin also provides “hopefully” in parentheses beside 2023, which insinuates that 2023 would be an optimistic release window for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. It is unclear how Lucasfilm Games and other developer and publisher collaborators wish to pace these releases, and some titles may not be seen or heard of until later on if they are still in early development, as was stated about Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake follows in a line of Star Wars titles that have been announced or confirmed, but have little-to-no details shared since. This creates a gulf in terms of when any of them may release, and Bespin Bulletin appears to have discovered a proper foothold to view them from. Ultimately, the Bespin Bulletin believes that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake may be pushed to 2023 in order for other titles to release this year instead.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake does not have a confirmed release window as of yet, however, so the Bespin Bulletin and its sources’ reports are mere rumors until more is officially shared.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is in development for PC and PS5.
