With 2022 looking to be one packed year with PlayStation exclusives such as God of War and Horizon: Forbidden West, many gamers have looked to this holiday season as the perfect chance to get their hands on the elusive console However, the problem of actually getting a PS5 is still persisting as it has done since the console’s release.
The unavailability of the PS5 is down to more than a few factors. Reduced production rates, a pandemic delaying production, and scalpers have all combined to make getting a next-gen experience near impossible to get. Out of all the limiting factors, scalpers have proven to be the most frustrating for many gamers, as they buy up the available stock using bots, and then try to sell them on to people at incredibly high prices.
