In case you are familiar with the League of Legends lore and want to learn more about it, then Ruined King: A League of Legends Story might just be the game for you. It is a turn-based RPG game that is set in the same universe as League.

Developed by Airship Syndicate and published by Riot Games, it is a spin-off to the League of Legends with the player set to find the cause of a corrupting force called Black Mist.

The game was scheduled to come out sometime in 2019 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the game released on November 16, players are already facing an issue that is making it unplayable for many.

According to recent reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), Ruined King players say they are unable to play the game since it is crashing during the very first cutscene in the game. This is really a dealbreaker for those who have waited a long time for the title to come out.

It looks like the issue lies somewhere on Riot’s end since players since reports are coming from different platforms. Fortunately, Ruined King developers have acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix.

As if this wasn’t enough, those who were able to avoid the aforementioned crashing issues are reporting a bug with the first combat in the game where the player cannot choose any ability or attack. Others say they are unable to switch targets in-game making it really hard to play.

With Riot yet to acknowledge the combat bug, it is still unclear how long they might take to fix the issue. If and when they do fix the crashing and combat issue with Ruined King, we will update this story so stay tuned.
