Rocket League is one of the most unique video games available on the internet. Developed and published by Psyonix, it can be best described as soccer with rocket-powered cars.
Released in 2015, the game still has a huge player base with almost 6 million people playing the game every day as of February 2022.
Unsurprisingly, the developers frequently update the game with new content in the form of new cars and cosmetics. But sometimes they cause issues such as players getting banned for leaving tournament after results and the rank disparity bug.
That being said, many Rocket League players are reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that the game is lagging or stuttering.
It looks like the problem surfaced after the Season 6 v2.12 update. Players say Rocket League lags within the first ten seconds or so after the match starts, which is really frustrating considering the competitive nature of the game.
Unfortunately, Rocket League developers are yet to say anything about the lagging and stuttering issues. We hope Psyonix soon acknowledges the problem and works on a fix since the issue is making the game unplayable.
