Riders Republic is an extreme sports game developed by Ubisoft that came out in October. However, it appears that the game’s reward system is not very well balanced.
Multiple player reports point to complaints related to duplicated rewards. Basically, they are constantly receiving the same rewards for leveling up or meeting goals (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
Riders Republic many duplicate rewards issue
Riders Republic players are reporting a duplicate gear rewards issue. This means that, at a certain point, it doesn’t feel like the game is rewarding you fairly.
As in other games with unlockable items, these have a different ‘rarity’. There are the most common items, and the rarest to get.
Grinding the race bike path from 31 to 50 and 7 level ups above. Got 3 dupes and cash otherwise. There are 60 bikes in the race “loot” pool and some of them beeing sponsor rewards. What strange human beeing got this stupid idea? Source
However, it seems that the game is constantly ‘spamming’ common items, duplicating them. Also, you cannot acquire rare items in any other way, since they are not in the store.
So, the only way to get rare items is ‘grinding’ missions and objectives.
For a game with limited items and randomized rewards duplicates is absolutely not acceptable. It’s more than likely not a bug and a possibility to extend your play time that they thought we wouldn’t notice or care about.

The possible cause of the issue
Some users report that the problem would be that the game’s economy is ‘broken’. Basically, the player receives so much money that all the items in the store can be easily purchased.
So, the game almost always rewards duplicate items to compensate for this.
Ubisoft is already aware, working on a fix
Ubisoft officially confirmed that they are aware of the issue. Currently, they are working on solving it, but there is no estimated date for the arrival of the fix.
