On 23rd Oct 2022 around 10 p.m., a Twitter user Nithin Prasad posted something important about the Redmi Note 8 battery issue. His Twitter handle is The Tech Guy.

In his post, he wrote about his mother’s Redmi Note 8 battery issue. He mentioned a serious issue that he was facing with the phone. If the phone was connected to its charger, only then would it function.

If it was disconnected from the discharger, it would not work. It switched off immediately. If an attempt to open the camera or receive a phone was made, the phone switched off. The user also tagged Xiaomi India and Redmi India’s official handles on his post. Other users started pouring in comments.

Many said that it could be an issue related to the battery. Other users complained about facing similar issues with other Redmi Note 8 batteries. The official account of Redmi India Support also responded to this post which carried a complaint. They mentioned that they would assist the user in solving the issue with his device.

If you face any issue related to a Redmi phone, you can get in touch with Redmi India Support’s official handle with only a DM. If this works or not, the user would have to find out. Although the brand seemed willing to resolve his issue, whether that happens or not is a thing of the future.

My mother’s Redmi note 8 facing some serious issue like as shown in the video, it can only turn on by charging the phone. If the phone is turn on it will go switched off if we open camera, turn on data or while receiving a phone call etc.@RedmiIndia @RedmiSupportIN @XiaomiIndia pic.twitter.com/NKIGJyk6OI
