From Alexa to Google Assistant, Siri and Bixby, all these help you get things done with your voice. While Samsung insists on using Bixby on its flagships, most of the Android ecosystem uses Google Assistant.

But these digital assistants are only good when they actually work. Which, if we’re being real, isn’t as often as we would like.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro users have been having trouble getting Alexa to work on their phones. The complaints range from not being able to recognize a user’s voice to disappearing buttons. Let us look at some of these issues.

It is important for a digital assistant to respond to the ‘hotword’ used to summon it. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of having it in the first place.

Another user on the same forum narrates how he can’t find the Alexa icon in his app drawer.

This is an odd occurrence and it is still unclear if the disappearance is due to a change in the new version of Alexa. These are, by no means, the only users that are having issues with Alexa on their Xiaomi device.

A quick scroll through the forums and you will come across many frustrated Redmi Note 8 Pro users who are unable to use their Alexa assistants.

We shall keep an eye on this and update accordingly. For more Redmi stories, check out our dedicated section.
