Redmi 9 Prime features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. The display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 394ppi pixel density, 400nits of brightness and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core chipset with Mali-G52 GPU paired with up to 4GB of RAM which can be expanded with the help of microSD card up to 512B.
For taking pictures, Redmi 9 Prime features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Further assisted by a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 118-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 77.8-degree field of view and f/2.0 aperture.
In terms of connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5, Wi-Fi Direct, FM Radio, NFC, GPS, AGPS, 3.5mm headphones jack, USB Type-C port, and an IR sensor. The sensor on the phone includes a vibration motor, distance sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and electronic compass along with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Redmi 9 Prime packs a 5,020mAh battery supported by an 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.
