2018, according to many, was quite the stellar year for gaming, especially where AAA releases were concerned. God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and plenty of others were praised by both fans and critics. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s narrative-driven, open-world Old Western sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption, joined the hefty list of AAA, critically acclaimed titles released in 2018, and though it has been over three years since the game initially released, fans are still finding ways to show their appreciation of the game.

While Red Dead Online allows fans to spend their time roaming the map of Red Dead Redemption 2, hunting bounties and creating chaos, fans are usually drawn more to the single-player experience of Red Dead Redemption 2. One fan in particular has taken their appreciation of the campaign and its protagonist Arthur Morgan to new heights by creating a custom calendar for 2022, littered with screenshots taken from the game alongside some of Arthur Morgan’s most famous quotes.

Posted to Reddit by user u/YoullBeFiiine, the calendar shows some clear knowledge of and dedication to Red Dead Redemption 2. The screenshots are based around the months that they represent, with June, July, and August all having a comedic reference to a “hot boah summer,” with “boah” referring to Arthur’s pronounciation of the word “boy,” one of the many interesting character points of Arthur, alongside things like his ability to roast any Red Dead Redemption 2 NPC that walks within earshot.

Users showed their love for the calendar instantly, with one user stating “This is, quite frankly, brilliant. Job well done, sir.” Another commentor asked whether they could get their hands on one of the custom calendars. Apart from a custom calendar, plenty of Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have created tributes to the game and its protagonists. One fan imagined a Peaky Blinders version of Arthur Morgan, while another drew the outlaw in a comic-book style.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been heavily supported by a passionate fanbase in the years since its release, and Rockstar have allowed players to continue their time in the fictionalised version of the Old West through Red Dead Online. Even though the online portion of the game allows players freedoms that they otherwise don’t have in the single-player experience, such as creating RDR2 characters that can look like 50 Cent or Doc Ock, the narrative of Red Dead Redemption 2 is still where the majority of fan tributes stem from.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
