Online multiplayer games have become prevalent among gamers over the past few years, no-doubt aided by the increased accessibility to cheap, reliable internet.
There are countless titles available to gamers, one of them being Red Dead Online. This is an online multiplayer action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games as the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2.
We know that such online games have many more points of failure and Red Dead online isn’t any different. Now, it is coming to light that players of this game on various platforms have a pretty dire issue.
According to reports from affected users, Red Dead Online keeps crashing, an issue that might have been accelerated following a recent update.
Affected users note that following the recent update, they keep getting random ‘ffffff’ errors and blue screen crashes on their PC or console terminals.
This issue has been extensively brought to the attention of the game maker by affected users on the various social platforms. However, there doesn’t seem to be a viable workaround just yet.

Update 1 (July 14)
While not many workarounds have been shared on the social media platforms regarding the problem discussed in this article, someone on the Steam community says a driver-based rollback helped them.
So you may give this a shot and see if it resolves the issue for you.
Update 2 (July 29)
10:11 am (IST): Red Dead Online players are reporting (1, 2, 3) that they are getting the ‘FFFFF error’. This is likely due to the servers being down and should get fixed soon.
EDIT: 466.27 seems to be even more stable.
