Resident Evil 4 VR, a VR remake of the fourth main entry in the series developed by Capcom, is going to be released next month. A new extended gameplay trailer that has been shared online today confirms that the game will launch exclusively on Oculus Quest 2 on October 21st. You can check out the trailer below. It has been several months since Capcom released Resident Evil Village, which has proven to be another huge hit for the long-time survival horror franchise. Shortly after the game’s release, Capcom announced at E3 2021 that Resident Evil Village would be receiving a DLC expansion soon, though the studio did not reveal a specific release date. Unfortunately, Capcom didn’t even give players a hint as to what to expect from Resident Evil Village’s upcoming expansion, so it could be anything at this point, from additional stories to new game modes....

Ahead of the Resident Evil Village showcase scheduled for later today, Game Informer posted an exclusive reveal on the survival game’s upgrade and hunting mechanics. While most of the footage revealed thus far centered on Lady Dimitrescu’s castle, the game’s title clearly suggests we’ll be able to explore the surrounding village as well, and that’s where players will find different animals such as chickens, fishes, pigs, and goats. Hunting these will yield certain resources that can then be cooked by The Duke, the merchant non-player character (NPC) in Resident Evil Village....
